
IVAJ
Valencian Institute for the Youth
The Generalitat Valenciana commissioned us to redesign the brand identity of the Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ), the agency responsible for coordinating youth policy in the Valencian Community. Its key functions include advocating for young people's rights, promoting participation, supporting youth structures, and fostering educational and leisure activities.
The new brand needed to unify IVAJ’s diverse roles—education in values, engagement, public service, and leisure—while coexisting with its sub-brands (Xarxa Jove, Viu, Tema Jove) and the Generalitat Valenciana's identity.
We developed a bold, typographic brand centred on the acronym IVAJ, drawing inspiration from sports as a symbol of positive values like teamwork, inclusion, cooperation, and effort. The identity is black and white, with clear, direct typography, complemented by a secondary colour palette of violet, orange, and green. The chosen typeface is Linotype’s Swiss 721, creating a strong yet dynamic visual universe.
